Registered Manager – Children’s Care Home
Salary – £55,000 – £70,000 + Bonus and pension scheme.
Progression through these salary scales is dependent upon experience, NVQ’s / QCF’s and continued development.

The role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to commission and run a brand new children’s home located in Edgeware near London.
The home’s mission is to create a dedicated and nurturing environment where the well-being and development of children and young people in care is prioritised.
Main Responsibilities
- The overall management and administration of the home, ensuring the highest standard of care and support to children and young people in accordance with OFSTED regulatory requirements and internal house policies.
- Ensure the home is staffed effectively and all shifts are appropriately covered. This may require the manager to work some weekends, evenings, and outside regular office hours to meet service needs.
- Leadership and management of all care staff including staff recruitment, training and development.
- Foster a positive and cooperative working environment
- Oversee the assesment,planning and delivery of child care
- Ensure that registration standards as laid down in the Children’s Home Regulations and Care Standards 2015 and as regulated by OFSTED, are met and maintained.
- Manage and control financial budgets for the care home effectively.
- Record keeping including the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records of children’s progress and care plans and ensure our care team are aware of these plans and follow them.
- Ensure confidentiality and data protection.
- Maintain Hygiene and cleanliness
Qualifications and Experience
- OFSTED Registered Manager with qualifications or equivalent in QCF in Leadership and Management in children’s residential.
- Minimum of 5 years residential experience 2 of which at a managerial role within a children’s care setting.
- Experience of managing residential EBD homes.
- Knowledge of child welfare regulations and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Strong commitment to the care and development of children and young people.
